SiR:
Life Is Good Tour
SiR's 2024 Life Is Good Tour had to work in two formats: a live trio on the U.S. dates and a European run without the band. The audio design kept both versions inside the same touring system and preserved channel-level control in every venue.
One LV1 system, one engineer
Manu Audio supplied the full package: Waves LV1, stage boxes, microphones, Shure Axient Digital wireless vocals, IEM systems and playback.
The same LV1 session handled every stage input, monitor bus, playback return and FOH path. There was no separate monitor console, and playback remained integrated with the mix.
From FOH, Manu mixed the PA and monitor buses while controlling playback. It was one of the first full tours built around that workflow.
The playback computer stayed at FOH, while stage manager Rory Behr cued AbleSet from a laptop onstage over the show network. Behr followed SiR's performance and placed the cues; Manu kept control of track levels, edits, routing and troubleshooting.
Recording the band for Europe
During rehearsals in Los Angeles, SiR's trio of drums, bass and keyboards was recorded into Ableton one input at a time. Kick, snare, bass, keys and the remaining sources stayed on separate tracks.
For the European shows, each recording returned to the LV1 channel normally used by that instrument. The console still saw the band as individual sources. Per-channel processing and balance remained available for every PA instead of being locked into a stereo mix.
The processing evolved across the European run. When the trio returned for the U.S. dates, those channels switched back to the live stage inputs. The work done in Europe was already in the show file, along with the original monitor mixes and routing.
